The Dance Department is fundraising now for two larger items for upcoming special events. Please donate to support the needs for these events. Money raised will go towards:

1. A large stage backdrop for The Nutcracker performance - a "growing" Christmas tree that expands as Clara's dream unfolds into the fantasy of the Candy Kingdom. This backdrop can be reused for many years to come, as The Nutcracker becomes an annual event to look forward to. ($1,500)

2. Guest artist stipend for the annual Winter Retreat at the Carmel Valley Arts Center. This year's artist will be a flamenco dancer who will bring the magic, music, and color of flamenco to share with dancers attending the three-day focused workshop. ($1,000)

As a public charter school, Contra Costa School of Performing Arts is tuition free, but donation dependent. No student is denied enrollment or access based on financial capacity, but without the combined support of our families, community members, and other partners we could not offer conservatory-arts programming for our students, and special opportunities for our students to perform in the community and in regional and national dance events.
Please consider supporting the Dance Department through any of the options below. Your donations make the difference in providing our dance majors with a rigorous, well-rounded curriculum, diverse repertoire, classroom and stage materials, new choreographic works, and a robust faculty made up of local, national, and international dance artists.
